After a significant impact or collision, the helmet may not be able to absorb any new forces from another collision as the internal structure may already have changed without appearing so on the outside. In any case of notable impact, we advise you to replace it with a new to get properly protected. If you have doubts, e.g. dropped your helmet or it got hit by an object, consult your dealer before using the helmet again.

The Corsa R&D team has designed the helmets with help from aerodynamic studies to ensure well functioning ventilating and user comfort.

Wearing a Corsa helmet, will that protect me from all kinds of head injuries in case of an accident?

What are the front visors on the mountain bike helmets for?

The main function of the front visor is to some degree prevent branches from trees hitting your eyes and your face during a mountain ride. It also protects your eyes and your face from the sun. Taking off the visor as many do is not advisable as you will lose this protection.

Why are the road biking helmets without visors in the front?

There are usually not many trees on the sides of a track for road racing. The need for the visor is minimum. The most important reason is that the riders usually have a forward bend position and need to look in the front direction. Having a visor will block a part of the sight.

Will heavier helmets give you a better protection than lightweight ones?

The situation depends on a couple factors. The most important is that high quality light material in a helmet structure that is tested and passing the safety tests provides a better performance, like Corsa helmets. Too light or too heavy materials in a helmet may not be able to protect you if they fail these tests.

In-mold helmets and non in-mold helmets are based on different manufacturing techniques.  In-mold means a PC shell and the EPS material are placed in the machine to form the product in a single injection process. The result is in one-piece, with no gap nor glue or tape between the shell and the EPS, unlike the latter ones. This gives it a better ability to absorb an impact as a whole and give your head a even better protection.

What is EPS?

EPS stands for Expanded Polystyrene. EPS is a rigid and tough closed-cell foam that could be formed into various shapes with different densities. It is a very good material for shock absorption.
